Simply loosen the knob to easily slide and adjust the size of the holder, then tighten it back up once you have the size you need. 

 If I thought the normal size lids were tough without an assistant, the baby ones are insane to try and complete without something to hold it steady for you. Are you uncoordinated like me? Do you get paint all over your fingers? UV Resin dripping down your hand because you can't hold the lid even?
